Medication: what I actually track (and what I stopped tracking)

Tracking everything about my meds lasted nine days. Tracking two things lasted two years.

The pitch

Log dose, timing, mood, side effects, food, sleep. Build a dataset.

What actually happened

Nine days. Then the spreadsheet became one more thing I was failing at. The data I never collected told me nothing, and the guilt about not collecting it told me less.

What worked instead

Two checkboxes: took it, roughly when. That is it. When something felt off for a week straight, I wrote one sentence about it. That one sentence, three times a year, has been more useful in appointments than any dashboard.

Verdict

Worked — the minimal version. The maximal version is a trap.
